El Departamento de Polic\u00eda de Brownsville arrest\u00f3 a un hombre el viernes acusado de asalto agravado con un arma mortal, seg\u00fan un comunicado de prensa del departamento. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
El jueves, a la 1:30 pm, Juan Alberto Mendiola, de 45 a\u00f1os, y su pareja transitaban por la calle Esperanza. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seg\u00fan la polic\u00eda, hubo una discusi\u00f3n verbal entre la pareja y la mujer salt\u00f3 del veh\u00edculo en movimiento. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ella comenz\u00f3 a huir, y Mendiola sali\u00f3 del Chevrolet Impala negro y el ahora detenido, comenz\u00f3 a perseguirla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mendiola derrib\u00f3 y comenz\u00f3 a apu\u00f1alar a la v\u00edctima varias veces, dijo la polic\u00eda. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Un ciudadano pudo golpear a Mendiola con un objeto contundente, lo que provoc\u00f3 que detuviera el asalto y huyera del \u00e1rea. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Alrededor de las 12:00 am, se recibi\u00f3 informaci\u00f3n de que Mendiola estaba en el Centro M\u00e9dico Regional del Valle con un traumatismo craneal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Los oficiales arribaron al lugar y Mendiola fue detenido y se encuentra actualmente bajo el cuidado de personal m\u00e9dico, seg\u00fan el comunicado de prensa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
La v\u00edctima se encuentra en un hospital recuper\u00e1ndose de sus heridas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
