Fritsch fue declarado culpable en abril de 2025 y liberado bajo fianza mientras esperaba sentencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En junio de ese mismo a\u00f1o huy\u00f3 a Los Mochis, Sinaloa, y posteriormente fue detenido en M\u00e9xico por portar documentaci\u00f3n falsa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aunque se le orden\u00f3 comparecer ante un tribunal de inmigraci\u00f3n, escap\u00f3 hacia M\u00fanich, Alemania, en octubre de 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En junio de 2026, su pareja, Lucinda Jane Weist Manera, de 63 a\u00f1os y residente en Malib\u00fa, se declar\u00f3 culpable de haberlo ayudado a ocultarse en M\u00e9xico y a huir a Alemania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
El subdirector del FBI en Los \u00c1ngeles, Patrick Grandy, advirti\u00f3 que el sur de California \u201ces un entorno propicio\u201d para los estafadores y asegur\u00f3 que la agencia buscar\u00e1 \u201cincansablemente\u201d a Fritsch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
