David Garc\u00eda de 27 a\u00f1os y residente de Zapata, Texas, se declar\u00f3 culpable del cargos de contrabando de drogas luego de que agentes del Departamento de Seguridad P\u00fablica de Texas lo arrestaran tras una persecuci\u00f3n a alta velocidad cerca de Roma en el mes de mayo del presente a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n\n\n

Los agentes intentaron detener la camioneta de Garc\u00eda a las 7:26 a. m. del 27 de mayo, pero este aceler\u00f3, conduciendo en sentido contrario y salt\u00e1ndose los sem\u00e1foros antes de que los agentes utilizaran una maniobra de inmovilizaci\u00f3n de precisi\u00f3n para detenerlo unos diez minutos despu\u00e9s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dentro de la camioneta, los agentes encontraron 43 paquetes de mariguana envueltos en celof\u00e1n, con un peso aproximado en conjunto de 227 kilos. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cuando un Juez Federal le pregunt\u00f3 a Garc\u00eda en la corte si sab\u00eda que lo que estaba haciendo era ilegal y si lo hab\u00eda hecho por voluntad propia, respondi\u00f3 “S\u00ed” a ambas preguntas. Garc\u00eda enfrenta ahora una pena de entre cinco y 40 a\u00f1os de prisi\u00f3n federal, cuya sentencia est\u00e1 prevista para ser dictada el 4 de noviembre.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
