La oficina de la DEA en McAllen report\u00f3 un aumento en las incautaciones de fentanilo en el Valle del R\u00edo Grande. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Si bien las muertes por fentanilo podr\u00edan estar disminuyendo a nivel nacional, la oficina de la DEA en McAllen afirm\u00f3 que la droga sigue siendo una grave amenaza en el Valle del R\u00edo Grande M\u00e9xico como es conocido en el noreste de M\u00e9xico Valle del sur de Texas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aqui, las incautaciones han aumentado a aproximadamente 12 kilogramos en lo que va del a\u00f1o, en comparaci\u00f3n con los siete kilogramos del mismo per\u00edodo en 2025, lo que representa m\u00e1s de 630 mil dosis potencialmente letales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bernardo Anzaldua Jr., agente especial adjunto interino a cargo de la oficina, indic\u00f3 que tan solo dos miligramos de fentanilo pueden ser mortales, y lo describi\u00f3 como: “50 veces m\u00e1s potente que la hero\u00edna y 100 veces m\u00e1s potente que la morfina”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seg\u00fan Anzaldua, los c\u00e1rteles contin\u00faan fabric\u00e1ndolo debido a su bajo costo y alta adicci\u00f3n, mezcl\u00e1ndolo con otras drogas como la coca\u00edna y la marihuana, y prens\u00e1ndolo en pastillas falsificadas que imitan recetas m\u00e9dicas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
La DEA tambi\u00e9n advirti\u00f3 sobre el “fentanilo arco\u00edris” \u2014pastillas de colores llamativos dise\u00f1adas para atraer a los ni\u00f1os\u2014 como un peligro que los padres deben conocer, aunque a\u00fan no se ha documentado a nivel local.
