El incidente ocurri\u00f3 cuando Baumgartner aparentemente sufri\u00f3 alg\u00fan tipo de malestar durante el vuelo, lo que le hizo perder el control de su equipo y precipitarse en la piscina de un establecimiento tur\u00edstico en Porto Sant\u2019Elpidio, en la costa de Fermo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Como consecuencia de la ca\u00edda, una joven result\u00f3 herida, aunque no de gravedad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Baumgartner, conocido por sus haza\u00f1as extremas, se hizo mundialmente famoso en 2012 por su salto desde la estratosfera, el cual le permiti\u00f3 establecer tres r\u00e9cords mundiales, entre ellos, el de convertirse en el primer hombre en romper la barrera del sonido sin el uso de un veh\u00edculo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En octubre de ese a\u00f1o, el austriaco protagoniz\u00f3 un intento desde 39 kil\u00f3metros con el que aterriz\u00f3 en el desierto de Nuevo M\u00e9xico, en un evento organizado por uno de sus patrocinadores, Red Bull.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Adem\u00e1s de sus saltos en grandes alturas, el deportistas austriaco hab\u00eda sido una figura central en el mundo de los deportes extremos, realizando saltos espectaculares desde rascacielos, puentes y formaciones naturales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
