El empresario naci\u00f3 en la Ciudad de M\u00e9xico en 1928, estudi\u00f3 humanidades en Canad\u00e1 y se gradu\u00f3 como contador en la Escuela Bancaria y Comercial de M\u00e9xico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Su historia con Bimbo comenz\u00f3 en 1945, cuando apenas ten\u00eda 17 a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ingreso como supervisor de ventas y r\u00e1pidamente asumi\u00f3 responsabilidades en el \u00e1rea de veh\u00edculos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En 1954, se le encomend\u00f3 abrir Bimbo Occidente en Guadalajara, donde asumi\u00f3 la Gerencia General.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Durante ese periodo, su liderazgo fue decisivo para abrir nuevos mercados en Guadalajara, Le\u00f3n y San Luis Potos\u00ed, as\u00ed como para instalar una nueva planta en 1956.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En 1969 realiz\u00f3 el curso \u201cProgram Management Development\u201d en la Universidad de Harvard. Al volver a M\u00e9xico, se convirti\u00f3 en Subdirector de la organizaci\u00f3n durante nueve a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En 1979, fue nombrado Director General del Grupo, y en 1990 pas\u00f3 a ser Presidente Ejecutivo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
En esa etapa, lider\u00f3 la expansi\u00f3n de la empresa con la creaci\u00f3n de 24 nuevas compa\u00f1\u00edas operadoras, alcanzando un total de 50.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
